Things have been a bit hectic here lately preparing for the year ahead including the Irish angling show which is fast approaching with only five weeks to go. As a result of being busy and the severe storms battering the coast over the past two weeks time spent fishing has been very limited. Things are returning to normality now however with the saltwater fly tying in full swing producing plenty of patterns in all sizes, shapes and materials for customers to avail of.
Plenty of good fishing opportunities exist over the coming few months for anglers in fresh and saltwater, bait anglers should expect pike, whitefish and big estuary flounders, Light Rock Fishing methods offer relaxed but effective fishing for lure anglers throughout the winter, pike and trout are also viable targets using lure or fly. Fishing is often portrayed as a summer sport but by adapting your approach methods and target species results will soon follow.
Once again everyone tight lines in 2014.
“ Everyone should believe in something; I believe I’ll go fishing ” – Henry David Thoreau
